The Journey as Women in Medical Sciences
| PREMIERING MARCH 17th at 5 PM EST via ZOOM |
"Don't let anyone rob you of your imagination, your creativity, or your curiosity."
— Mae Jemison, Physicist and Astronaut
Women are consistently at the forefront of scientific discoveries. Elizabeth Blackburn discovered the presence of telomeres on our chromosomes, Rosalind Franklin elucidated the helical nature of DNA, and Katherine Johnson helped propel astronauts into orbit and later to the moon! This is just a glimpse into the profound impacts that women in the various STEM fields have had on the advancement of scientific discovery.
Join us for our ‘The Journey as Women in Medical Sciences’ event where we are joined by a panel of amazing women in the medical sciences. They will describe their unique journeys into the medical science. By the end, we will appreciate how these women scientists are testiments of how rigour and determination to succeed can defeat any societal inequities.
